Job summary

Daktronics seeks a Sales Intern in Houston, TX to learn inside sales, B2B and advertising sales while shadowing a professional team. You will visit customers, demonstrate products at trade shows, conduct research, and generate leads as part of a hands‑on internship that includes mentoring and group activities.

The role requires full‑time student status in a related bachelor’s program, with the possibility of taking a semester off and a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Full‑time students currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program related to sales, business, communication, economics, sports management, entrepreneurial studies, marketing, or engineering.
• May graduate December 2026 or be a sophomore in good standing.
• Must be able to take a semester off from school to complete the internship.
• Must commit to at least 40 hours per week; overtime may be required.
• Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the application.

Responsibilities

• Learn sales strategies including inside sales, B2B, service and advertising sales.
• Shadow our professional sales team and demonstrate products.
• Visit customers, attend trade shows, and give customer presentations.
• Conduct research and generate/track leads.
• Learn sales operation processes.
• Contribute to Daktronics Intern Group (monthly luncheons, Toastmasters, recruiting events, capstone presentations).
• Experience manufacturing through production rotation and build professional relationships.
