Position Overview:
Vision Roof Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Inspector to join our Palm Desert sales team. This position is responsible for managing company-provided leads, conducting thorough roof inspections, documenting property conditions, preparing accurate estimates, and closing residential and commercial roofing projects.

Working closely with our marketing, scheduling, estimating, and production teams, the Sales Inspector will guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial inspection to signed contract. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant roofing or construction sales experience, strong roofing knowledge, attention to detail, and a proven ability to close deals while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Roof Inspections & Documentation

Conduct comprehensive residential and commercial roof inspections to assess existing conditions, identify damage, and recommend appropriate roofing solutions.

Perform on-site measurements, take detailed photographs, and document inspection findings.

Identify potential repairs, maintenance needs, restorations, and full roof replacement opportunities.

Prepare clear, detailed inspection notes and reports within AccuLynx, our CRM and project management platform.

Follow company safety procedures and inspection standards.

Receive and manage qualified leads generated by the company's marketing and customer service teams.

Contact assigned customers promptly to confirm appointments and understand their roofing needs.

Present inspection findings, explain recommended solutions, and guide customers through available options.

Prepare and deliver professional proposals, follow up with customers, negotiate when appropriate, and close sales.

Maintain consistent communication with prospective customers throughout the sales process.

Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals.

Prepare accurate estimates for residential and commercial roofing repairs, restorations, and replacements.

Follow established company pricing structures, estimating guidelines, and profitability requirements.

Calculate project measurements, materials, labor requirements, and scope of work.

Coordinate with the estimating and production teams when developing proposals for complex projects.

Clearly communicate project scope, pricing, timelines, and expectations to customers.

Maintain accurate customer records, inspection notes, photographs, estimates, and sales activity in AccuLynx.

Update lead statuses and project milestones throughout the sales process.

Manage assigned leads and follow-up activities to maximize conversion opportunities.

Coordinate with scheduling, production, and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition from approved estimate to project execution.

Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspections, estimating, documentation, and customer communication.

Work closely with marketing and customer service teams to manage incoming leads efficiently.

Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate scopes of work and successful project handoffs.

Attend scheduled sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.

Meet established sales goals, follow-up expectations, and performance standards.

Represent Vision Roof Services professionally at customer properties, commercial facilities, and company events.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in roofing sales, roof inspections, estimating, or related construction sales. Direct residential and commercial roofing experience strongly preferred.

Roofing Knowledge: Strong understanding of common roofing systems, including tile, shingle, flat roofing, spray polyurethane foam (SPF), coatings, and commercial roofing applications.

Estimating: Experience preparing accurate construction estimates using established pricing structures and scope-of-work guidelines.

Technology: Comfortable using AccuLynx or comparable CRM software, mobile applications, digital photography, and estimating tools.

Organization: Ability to independently manage multiple appointments, inspections, estimates, and active sales opportunities.
