Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida Inc in Hammond, LA seeks a Sales Floor Lead to assist in daily store operations and drive sales excellence. You will act as a supervisor during assigned shifts, ensure proper cash handling, merchandising, and a welcoming shopping environment for customers.

Experience in retail or service industry, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends are preferred. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, process payments, authorize refunds and handle exchanges and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise and maintain a clean, presentable store.
• Act as a positive role model and supervise staff during assigned shifts.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free shopping environment and assist in training new hires.
• Record cash receipts, balance tills, and help with daily store operations.

Sales Floor Lead

To assist with the day-to-day store operation and sales performance to meet or exceed budget while in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures. A Sales Floor Lead performsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorSalesFloorManager. Sales Floor Leads may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled work hours.

EssentialFunctions:

Responsibilities:

• 1. Tousethecashregistertomaketotalsales,acceptpayment;authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise.
• 2. Toensureproperrotation ofstore merchandise.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessional performance.
• 4. To stock thesales floor adequately. To create a positivepublicimageof Goodwill throughacleanstoreenvironment,attractivedisplaysandpresentable,personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheshopping areas.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyStore Floor Associates.
• 8. To be able to perform the job duties of Sales Floor Associates.
• 9. Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerforthe week.
• 10. Toensurethefloorcheckiscompleteddailyandtoensuremonthlysafetyself- inspections are conducted.
• 11. Toensureallnewhiresareproperlyoriented,usingtheappropriatemanual,within the first week of employment. To document that training occurred.
• 12. Toassistthestoremanagerincontrollingtheexpensetorevenueratiomonthlyand annually.
• 13. Toassistintrainingandmentoringof Sales Floor Associatesandcourt-appointed community service workers, as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• 14. Toassistinsupervising,discipliningandrecommendingdischargeofsalesassociates to the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• 15. Tomonitorandassist inthereceiving,pricingand displayingofstore merchandise.
• 16. Torecordandbalancecashregisterreceipts,makebankdepositsandrecordstore transactions.
• 17. Toassistin thepreparationofpersonneland payrollrecordsin atimely manner.
• 18. Tocompleteaccuratelyotherpaperworkrequiredintheday-to-dayoperationofthe store.
• 19. Anyotherjob-relateddutiesasrequestedby management.

Requirements:

• 1. HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.

Working Conditions:
