Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, handle payments, voids, returns, and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
• Stock the sales floor and maintain a clean, attractive store image.
• Observe safety policies and ensure compliance by staff.
• Perform duties of Sales Floor Associates as needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts.
• Complete daily floor checks and monthly safety inspections.
• Orient new hires within first week and document training.
• Assist in managing store expenses and revenue.
• Assist in training and mentoring Sales Floor Associates and community workers.
• Assist in supervising, disciplining, and recommending discharge.
• Monitor receiving, pricing, and display of merchandise.
• Record and balance cash receipts and make deposits.
• Assist in payroll record preparation.
• Complete other paperwork and duties as requested.

A Sales Floor Lead performsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorSalesFloorManager. Sales Floor Leads may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled work hours.

EssentialFunctions:

Responsibilities:

• 1. Tousethecashregistertomaketotalsales,acceptpayment;authorizevoids,returns, exchanges and credits for merchandise.
• 2. Toensureproperrotation ofstore merchandise.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessional performance.
• 4. To stock thesales floor adequately. To create a positivepublicimageof Goodwill throughacleanstoreenvironment,attractivedisplaysandpresentable,personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheshopping areas.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyStore Floor Associates.
• 8. To be able to perform the job duties of Sales Floor Associates.
• 9. Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerforthe week.
• 10. Toensurethefloorcheckiscompleteddailyandtoensuremonthlysafetyself- inspections are conducted.
• 11. Toensureallnewhiresareproperlyoriented,usingtheappropriatemanual,within the first week of employment. To document that training occurred.
• 12. Toassistthestoremanagerincontrollingtheexpensetorevenueratiomonthlyand annually.
• 13. Toassistintrainingandmentoringof Sales Floor Associatesandcourt-appointed community service workers, as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• 14. Toassistinsupervising,discipliningandrecommendingdischargeofsalesassociates to the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• 15. Tomonitorandassist inthereceiving,pricingand displayingofstore merchandise.
• 16. Torecordandbalancecashregisterreceipts,makebankdepositsandrecordstore transactions.
• 17. Toassistin thepreparationofpersonneland payrollrecordsin atimely manner.
• 18. Tocompleteaccuratelyotherpaperworkrequiredintheday-to-dayoperationofthe store.
• 19. Anyotherjob-relateddutiesasrequestedby management.

Skills and Abilities:

• 1. ToassisttheStoreManagerorProductionManagerinachieving/exceedingproduction goals both monthly and annually and to assist in implementing a contingency plan if goals are not being met.

• 3. MustbeabletomarketGoodwillandexplainthemissiontothegeneral public.
• 4. Mustestablishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswith,andamong,store and production personnel while motivating them to their best performance.
• 5. Mustbeabletoworkaflexiblescheduleonshortnotice,includingnightsand weekends, and occasionally, long hours.
• 6. Mustbeabletouserepetitivehandmovementwhenbuttoning,sorting,hangingand zipping garments.
• 7. Mustbeabletoengageinprolongedstanding,walkingandinfrequentbending, stooping, and stretching.
• 8. Mustbeabletofunctioninafast-pacedworkenvironmentwithoccasionalperiodsof high volume.

Requirements:

• 1. HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• 2. Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.
• 3. Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustry preferred.
• 4. MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequentphysicalexertion,frequentmovement,conditionedindoortemperatureswithoccasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
