With a commitment to excellence and building strong agency relationships, our Sales and Marketing department is looking for a property and casualty field territory underwriter. As a field-based underwriter, you will evaluate, assess, and price risks while leading profitable growth for our agency partners in your territory. This position is for our Casper, Wyoming, territory.

Positions serving territories away from our headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio are fully remote.

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $152,000 annually. Our competitive compensation package is based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on performance.

Be ready to:

• Underwrite: analyze risks, price, negotiate, and make informed decisions on commercial business
• Market: sell and solicit business across all units within the territory to build strong, diverse agency relationships
• Develop the territory: lead strategic planning, ownership, and execution of growth and profit initiatives, including new agency appointments
• Lead agencies: build deep relationships and understanding with each agency to develop a profitable portfolio, maintaining a presence within agency offices
• Provide leadership: partner with and guide other field disciplines to ensure success through communication, support, and collaboration
• Research the market: stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, emerging risks, competitors, and make informed decisions

Bring education and experience from:

• Proven underwriting experience, minimum 2 years in multiline commercial underwriting; more than 3 years preferred
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU, professional selling) are a plus
