TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. We are seeking a driven Sales Executive (Business Development Director) to lead new business development for TELUS Wellbeing, our holistic digital health and wellness engagement platform designed to educate, engage, and inspire employees to improve their health through sustained behaviour change. This role is central to expanding TELUS Wellbeing’s footprint across the United States by driving sales through direct client engagement, broker partnerships, and strategic alliances, while collaborating cross‑functionally with Account Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams. You will play a key role in shaping growth within our Integrated Health Solutions portfolio, helping U.S. employers build proactive, prevention‑first cultures of health.
Our team drives transformative growth across TELUS Health’s preventative wellbeing solutions, partnering with leading North American organizations to expand access to tools that help employees build healthier habits before issues arise. You will work alongside Account Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to shape the future of employee wellness, directly impacting the day‑to‑day health and happiness of employees at organizations of all sizes. This is a high‑impact, specialty sales role where your ability to sell a proactive, behaviour‑change‑driven solution — distinct from traditional reactive benefits — will help employers build healthier, more resilient, and more engaged workforces.
Lead business development activities across the full sales cycle for TELUS Wellbeing, managing prospective and existing clients and partners from initial engagement through contract closure. Drive new‑business growth through direct sales, RFP participation, and strategic expansion within existing accounts, collaborating with Account Management to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across the broader TELUS Health portfolio (EAP, virtual care, and wellbeing). Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, brokers, and benefits consultants, leveraging indirect sales channels to expand market reach across your assigned U.S. territory. Clearly articulate the value proposition and ROI of a preventative, engagement‑driven wellbeing platform to HR, Total Rewards, and benefits leaders — differentiating TELUS Wellbeing from point‑solution and reactive benefit offerings. Present at industry conferences, client events, and finalist presentations, positioning TELUS Health as a market leader in integrated, preventative health solutions. Develop and refine territory strategy aligned with broader organizational goals, conducting competitive analysis and identifying market opportunities to maximize growth potential. Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews to assess sales performance, strategy effectiveness, and pipeline health, providing insights to inform future growth initiatives. Enable the broader sales force by delivering product training, demo capabilities, and objection‑handling tools that empower colleagues to sell the Life‑Moments framework effectively. Serve as a strategic liaison between sales, product, and marketing, gathering client feedback, identifying market patterns, and feeding insights back to sharpen go‑to‑market decisions.
5+years of enterprise B2B sales or business development experience, with a proven track record of closing complex, high‑value deals.
Demonstrated success selling to HR, benefits, or wellness buyers, ideally with experience selling engagement‑based, subscription, or behaviour‑change‑driven solutions.
Experience in employer benefits, wellness, EAP, HR consulting, or related sectors, with a deep understanding of broker and consultant dynamics in the benefits industry.
Strong consultative selling and presentation skills, with the ability to build compelling, ROI‑based business cases for a preventative health solution to prospective clients.
Ability to manage the full sales cycle autonomously from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for growth, results orientation, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
