Position Overview

The Sales Executive will be responsible for selling the HealthStream Learning & Performance product suite within a specific geographic territory. This includes managing the entire sales process from market segmentation, prospecting, qualifying, demonstrating, presenting, negotiating, to closing deals, and leading other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify opportunities with existing clients and new prospects, aligning solutions with initiatives, developing relationships, and resolving obstacles.
  • Demonstrate solutions to stakeholders, present value propositions, develop proposals, and follow up professionally.
  • Support RFP processes, lead proposal teams, and handle pricing strategies.
  • Negotiate and close business, create and submit contracts, and transition clients to implementation.
  • Develop territory plans, manage pipelines in CRM, and support sales strategy formulation.
  • Share best practices within the sales community and support sales operations.
  • Engage in personal and professional development to maintain product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and project teams to create customer solutions.
  • Adopt a Challenger selling mindset, understanding client needs and challenging them to think differently.
  • Understand stakeholder needs across various levels, including C-Suite, HR, Clinical, and others.
Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to develop relationships quickly across all levels of an organization
  • High integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Leadership qualities and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
