Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Sales & Events Manager for the James L. Knight Center in Miami, FL. You will drive active solicitation in association and trade show markets, coordinate with building personnel and clients, and represent Legends at regional and national trade shows to meet sales goals.

You’ll manage proposals, rental agreements, and pre-event communications, while maintaining the facility calendar and supervising sales staff as needed. Some nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years sales related experience required.
• Facility/industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for active solicitation of the association and trade show markets.
• Act as a liaison with building personnel, CVB’s clients, etc. to represent Legends Global and assure client’s needs are met.
• Represent the facility in all industry-related Trade regional and national tradeshows.
• Prepare bid proposals and follow through on pending bookings.
• Prepare and assure compliance with all rental agreements.
• Handle pre-event correspondence and meetings until the account can be turned over to Operations team.
• Execute sales action plans for assigned markets and accounts in support of established facility sales goals.
• Maintain and update facility booking calendar.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• High aptitude for figures and advanced writing skills
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
• Acts as Manager on Duty as required. Some nights and weekends.
