Job Overview

The Sales Engineer supports our sales & marketing efforts to provide our customers with diverse wireless infrastructure solutions. The role involves participating in standards committees, technical sales, trade shows, and customer meetings. The Sales Engineer provides customers with pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, answering technical questions, and preparing offers, quotes, and proposals.

A Day In The Life

The following roles and responsibilities are required to fulfill the position and are not all-inclusive:

  • Provide customers with pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, answering technical questions, and preparing offers, quotes, and proposals.
  • Proactively liaise, consult, and engage with key customers to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Work closely with the Sales team and key customers to propose our products as the preferred solutions over competitors.
  • Utilize available resources to identify opportunities to incorporate Hubbell into specifications during all design stages.
  • Use relevant tools and experience to manage and drive Hubbell through targeted networking.
  • Research and pursue new client opportunities.
  • Conduct product meetings and presentations, develop rapport with clients, and follow through to order closure.
  • Analyze client requirements to develop suitable strategies and design solutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by resolving issues to promote repeat business and long-term relationships.
  • Monitor market and competitor activities, and report findings to Sales leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Marketing to achieve strategic marketing goals.
  • Support Sales leadership with inquiries, meetings, exhibitions, and projects.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Create compelling sales literature for complex products and services.
  • Provide training and support for the sales team.
  • Develop and post technical sales content on websites as needed.
  • Develop WiFi Warranty and Integrator Training programs.
