Job Overview

The Sales Engineer supports our sales & marketing efforts by providing our customers with diverse wireless infrastructure solutions. The role involves participating in standards committees, technical sales, trade shows, and customer meetings. The Sales Engineer offers pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, answering technical questions, and preparing offers, quotes, and proposals.


A Day In The Life

The following roles and responsibilities are required to fulfill the position and are not all inclusive.

  1. Provide customers with pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, answering technical questions, and preparing offers, quotes, and proposals.
  2. Proactively liaise, consult, and engage with key customers to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  3. Work closely with the Sales team and key clients to propose our products as preferred solutions.
  4. Utilize available resources to identify opportunities for Hubbell during all design stages.
  5. Manage and drive Hubbell's presence through targeted networking, drawing on relevant tools and experience.
  6. Research and pursue new client opportunities.
  7. Conduct product meetings and presentations, develop rapport with clients, and follow through to order closure.
  8. Analyze client requirements to develop appropriate strategies and solutions.
  9. Ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues to promote repeat business and long-term relationships.
  10. Monitor market and competitor activities, providing reports to Sales leadership.
  11. Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to meet strategic objectives.
  12. Support sales initiatives, including inquiries, meetings, events, and projects.
  13. Gather customer feedback and collaborate with the product development team.
  14. Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  15. Create sales literature for complex products and services.
  16. Provide training and support to the sales team.
  17. Manage technical sales content for websites.
  18. Develop WiFi Warranty and Integrator Training programs.
