The Sales Engineer – Northeast Region is responsible for leading and executing all pre-sales technical activities across the Northeast territory. This role is integral to the success of the sales organization and serves as a direct partner to the Regional Sales Manager, as well as a trusted advisor to authorized dealers, integrators, and end-users across the Northeast Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Execution
- Actively support sales opportunities by conducting product demonstrations, technical discovery, solution design, and proposal development
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager in customer and partner meetings to develop and present tailored intercom and access solutions
- Serve as the technical lead on complex sales engagements, including enterprise deployments and multi-site rollouts
Sales Strategy & Regional Alignment
- Align technical support with the Northeast Region’s sales objectives and account priorities
- Develop a pre-sales strategy that maximizes regional growth opportunities and optimizes resource deployment
- Maintain consistent communication with sales leadership to report on progress, challenges, and support needs
Sales Enablement & Team Support
- Train and mentor Northeast sales representatives and dealer partners on technical positioning and product capabilities
- Deliver technical workshops, webinars, and documentation that enhance team competency and customer confidence
- Provide guidance and feedback to improve demo environments, pitch decks, and solution configurations
Partner Enablement
- Build strong relationships with regional dealer partners, acting as their technical point of contact for design, installation, and troubleshooting support
- Assist with partner onboarding, including technical validations and initial training sessions
- Conduct site walks and pre-deployment assessments to ensure solution viability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Interface with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to provide field feedback and influence future roadmap decisions
- Ensure a seamless handoff of projects from pre-sales to post-sales, including documentation and knowledge transfer
- Help define and refine tools, templates, and processes that increase efficiency and standardize solution delivery
Required Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Sales roles
- Experience in physical security, access control, smart intercoms, or related technology industries
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, video systems, and integration with third-party platforms
- Proven success in both executing pre-sales efforts and providing technical mentorship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex concepts clearly
- Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Visio, Bluebeam)
- Ability to travel up to 65% within the Northeast region
