Job summary

Stefanini, Inc in Santa Fe Springs, CA seeks a Sales Engineer / Estimator to combine technical expertise with customer interaction for custom industrial equipment solutions. You will analyze requirements, read drawings, and prepare complete cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment.

You will develop accurate quotations, coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Project Management, and manage multiple estimates while building long-term customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in custom industrial equipment or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience estimating tanks, process piping, skids, vessels, and process equipment.
• Experience developing Bills of Materials and labor estimates.
• Understanding of fabrication methods and manufacturing processes.
• Experience reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

Our client is an established engineering and manufacturing company with more than 40 years of experience designing and fabricating highly engineered process systems for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, chemical processing, food processing, water treatment, and industrial manufacturing customers. Every project is custom. Every customer has unique requirements. You'll work closely with customers and internal engineering and manufacturing teams to develop practical solutions that become successful projects.

What You'll Do

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience within custom industrial equipment or manufacturing
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience estimating tanks, process piping, skids, pressure vessels, structural steel, or custom process equipment
• Experience developing Bills of Material and labor estimates
• Strong understanding of fabrication methods and manufacturing processes
• Experience reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Knowledge of welding, fitting, cutting, and fabrication processes
