Job summary

Ruhrpumpen Group in the United States seeks an experienced sales professional to lead end-user sales coverage in a defined North American territory, driving growth for all Ruhrpumpen product lines.

You will manage forecasts, build relationships with buying influences, negotiate orders, and travel frequently to customer sites to secure opportunities. This role requires a mechanical engineering background, 5+ years in pump industry, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years pump industry experience.
  • Ability to travel and manage a sales territory.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Grow business by calling on assigned customers in the defined territory.
  • Maintain active communication with internal personnel and customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with buying influences to grow interactions.
  • Forecast, budget, and manage cost controls per company policies.
  • Negotiate orders including technical and commercial terms to mutual satisfaction.
  • Travel to customer sites to secure face-to-face contact and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports and forecasts to support strategy.

Job Summary

Provides sales & customer support coverage, management and strategic focus for the North American End-user Sales of Ruhrpumpen in a defined territory and/or account lists. End-user Sales is responsible for increasing sales, market share and profits for all Ruhrpumpen product lines, as well as Non-OEM products, as defined in sales strategies; with a focus on repairs & retrofits of all brands of pumping equipment (OEM or Non-OEM), mechanical optimization, parts, and new pumps sales, across all market segments.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Grow business in all market segments by calling on assigned customers on a regular basis.
  • Maintain active communication and relationships with respective in-house personnel
  • Develop and maintain active relationships with buying influences and develop new relationships to maintain and grow customer / territory interactions
  • Identify and develop new customers and new sales potentials
  • Responsible for territory/customer forecast, budgets, and cost control via company approved systems, methods, and policies.
  • Represent all Ruhrpumpen products including Non OEM products as defined in sales strategies
  • Partner with customers to understand project specifications and scope requirements to insure proposals are generated to meet requirements
  • Recommend changes to Key Account sales strategies / tactics as they are periodically evaluated for effectiveness.
  • Negotiate orders, including all technical, commercial, and legal details to mutual satisfaction of all parties
  • Provide new pump opportunities to OE Inside Sales Group for quoting and specifications.
  • Travel to customer locations to ensure close and regular face to face contact.
  • Entertain customers during and outside normal business hours on regular bases.
  • Complete monthly activity reports and forecasts including industry / market / account competitive analysis to support management strategy
Qualifications and Skills
  • Open to travel
  • Candidate must live in Western Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Northern Florida
  • Ability to communicate ideas, concepts, solutions, customer pay-back at all levels of the customer's at a high professional level. Ability to manage a sales territory, develop and execute individual business plans.
  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Similar
  • 5+years Pump Industry Experience
