Nucor Corporation in Norfolk, NE is seeking a results-driven professional to support joist and deck estimating, customer relations and market development for the territory. The role requires collaboration with the commercial team and close engagement with the local Engineering community.

The position demands the ability to travel and to work over 40 hours when necessary, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced steel products environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Experience reading architectural and structural drawings and project specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel and work 40+ hours when needed.
• Experience with NuBid and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of service through professional, informative and responsive communications with customers.
• Perform joist & deck estimates using estimating software.
• Develop strong partnerships with customers.
• Collaborate with the commercial team on market strategy for the territory.
• Develop relationships with the local Engineering community by attending events.
• Be willing and able to travel.
• Willing to work more than 40 hours per week when required.
• Uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times.

Basic Job Functions

• Develop strong partnerships with our customers.
• Work with the commercial team on devising and executing a market strategy for the territory.
• Develop and grow strong relationships with the local Engineering community by attending local events and gatherings.
• Be willing and able to travel.
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, along with a general understanding of the construction process
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering
• Experience in customer service and sales related roles
• Proficiency with NuBid
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Willing to put in and move for future advancement opportunities
