Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or systems engineering role supporting DoW or IC customers.
  • 3+ years working with complex technical solutions, COTS products, or phased prototyping in the DoW or IC space.
  • Experience driving whitespace growth and cross-selling capabilities in adjacent markets.
  • Experience owning or supporting annual sales quotas and growing customer adoption via enterprise agreements or consumption-based offerings.
  • Experience engaging with key client stakeholders on large-scale projects, including program of record creation and acquisition vehicle work.
  • Ability to travel CONUS up to 20%.
  • Top Secret clearance by eligibility.

The Opportunity

A Sales Engineer acts as the technical bridge between customers, coordinators, and internal engineering teams. The role translates mission needs into technical solutions, guiding capture efforts, and ensuring proposed architectures align with DoW requirements, security standards, and operational readiness. This role will also be actively engaged in forward‑facing events and meetings to identify mission needs, collaborate with solutions architect teams, and shape the right technical solutions. The role with rapid acquisition paths, including the OTA process, enables the organization to accelerate delivery, reduce barriers, and bring mission‑critical technologies to the warfighter with greater speed and agility.

You Have
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or systems engineering role supporting DoW or IC customers
  • 3+ years of experience working with complex technical solutions, COTS products, or phased prototyping in the DoW or IC space
  • Experience successfully creating and driving engagement‑based approaches to acquisition, including driving whitespace growth and cross‑selling capabilities and solutions into adjacent markets
  • Experience owning or supporting annual sales quotas and growing customer adoption through enterprise agreements or consumption‑based offerings
  • Experience engaging with key client stakeholders to discuss company capabilities and services on several large‑scale projects, including driving program of record creation and driving large acquisition vehicle work
  • Ability to travel CONUS up to 20% of the time
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience working with DoD acquisition centers and Key Client Mission Stakeholders
  • Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Word
  • Experience establishing relationships in the government and industry communities
  • Knowledge of DoW acquisition FAR, DFARS, PWS, and SOW interpretation and compliance matrices

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Work Model
  • Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
