Job summary

Gotion Inc. is seeking a Sales Electrical Engineer to bridge engineering depth with business development in Manteno, IL.

The role supports customer acquisition, account management, and technical validation of energy storage solutions, ranging from single-line diagrams to interconnection studies. The ideal candidate will combine presentation and proposal skills with hands-on system design knowledge, and will work closely with both US and China engineering teams within the Market Management Center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or closely related field.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience, with 1–2 years in customer-facing, sales engineering, or business development.
• Knowledge of power systems fundamentals: protection schemes, single-line diagrams, load flow, interconnection standards.
• Familiarity with BESS, inverters/PCS, and grid-tied or behind-the-meter energy applications.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling language for non-technical audiences.
• Strong proposal writing, presentation, and customer communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM tools and AutoCAD/ETAP or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new customer opportunities across target segments (C&I, data centers, municipalities, utilities).
• Lead customer engagements from outreach through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Develop tailored proposals that communicate technical capabilities, financial value, and project structure.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects and report progress to the Director.
• Support marketing materials, capability decks, and case studies for competitive positioning.
• Represent Gotion at industry events and customer meetings as a technical and commercial voice.
• Provide technical guidance on BESS system design, sizing, configuration, and interconnection requirements.
• Review diagrams, protection schemes, and interconnection studies for customer projects.
• Collaborate with utilities on interconnection applications, protection coordination, and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate with Program Manager and Power Station Manager on specs and equipment selection.
• Respond to customer due diligence, RFPs, and RFIs with well-documented answers.
