Gotion Inc. is seeking a Sales Electrical Engineer for the Manteno, Illinois facility.

This hybrid role bridges engineering and business development, supporting customer acquisition while detailing system design and interconnection requirements. The ideal candidate will translate complex technical concepts into compelling proposals, review single-line diagrams, and coordinate with utilities and internal teams to deliver energy storage solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience including customer-facing roles.
• Knowledge of power systems fundamentals, protection schemes, and interconnection standards.
• Familiarity with battery energy storage systems and grid-tied applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication for proposals and client discussions.
• Proficiency with MS Office; CRM tools and engineering software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new customer opportunities across target segments.
• Lead customer engagements from outreach through proposal, negotiation, and contract.
• Develop tailored proposals communicating technical capabilities and value.
• Maintain a pipeline and report progress against sales targets to leadership.
• Support marketing materials, capability decks, and case studies.
• Represent Gotion at events and customer meetings as a credible technical voice.
• Provide technical guidance on BESS system design and interconnection requirements.
• Review diagrams, protection schemes, and interconnection studies with engineering teams.
• Collaborate on regulatory filings, permitting, and FEOC/compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with legal, government relations, and post-COD aftersales support.
