Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Distribution/Channel Manager to join our sales team at AVer Information. Reporting to the Vice President, this role is an integral part of AVer’s Sales Team and requires a proven track record in managing distribution channels, working with reseller partners, building strong relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Distribution/Channel Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing effective distribution and reseller strategies to maximize sales and market share. Key responsibilities include nurturing existing relationships, identifying and recruiting new channel partners, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the smooth flow of products and services through various distribution channels. This role also involves analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to make strategic business growth recommendations, as well as coordinating and supporting channel marketing initiatives such as partner events, creating channel content, and leading QBRs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify key partners and distributions, strategically propose and implement a winning go-to-market strategy and promotion programs with our key partners.
  • Work with existing distribution partners to streamline our channel process and expand market reach.
  • Develop strategic and strong relationships with top channel partners and distributors with cadence meeting, visit and QBR, followed with reports
  • Evaluate and onboard new channel partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Set sales targets for each top channel partner and work collaboratively to achieve or exceed these targets.
  • Implement sales and marketing programs to drive product adoption, generate leads and funnel, and increase revenue.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure distributors have appropriate inventory levels for smooth order flow.
  • Provide training, marketing materials, and support to channel partners to enhance their product knowledge and sales capabilities.
  • Resolve channel partner issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, sales, finance, and logistics, to ensure seamless communication and support for channel partners.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify new opportunities and threats in the market.
  • Make data-driven recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all channel partners adhere to company policies, standards, and contractual agreements.
  • Monitor product/service quality and customer satisfaction within distribution channels.
  • Implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Work with VP of Sales, operations and finance to negotiate new or expand existing contracts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 10 years of experience in distribution channel management within the AV industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing distribution and channel partners and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans
  • Experience in business development, negotiation, and closing business
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Great organizational skills, ability to multi-task, to work independently, and as part of a team
  • Must be self-motivated, quick learner, enthusiastic, professional and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time
