Position Location: Within approximately a 1-2 hour commute of one of the manufacturing plants below.
Purpose of Role
The purpose of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is to research and identify potential customers in the Food Service, Beer, and Beverage industries for Delivery Solutions. The SDR will identify sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-ups and outbound cold calls and emails. This role is responsible for understanding customer requirements and the Delivery Solutions portfolio.
Areas of Accountabilities
Sales Sourcing
- Source new sales opportunities with potential customers via phone, email, and social media to introduce Rehrig Pacific’s innovative Delivery Solutions.
- Schedule qualified leads and appointments for Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) and National Account Managers (NAMs)
- Achieve weekly and monthly targets for leads and appointments set by leadership team.
- Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to engage potential customers.
- Track and manage lead pipeline to ensure consistent flow of opportunities.
- Utilize data analytics to identify high-potential leads and optimize outreach strategies.
Internal Process Improvement
- Communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders on Delivery Solutions team.
- Qualify leads by understanding customer needs and challenges and matching those that can be addressed by Rehrig’s Delivery Solutions portfolio.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in Salesforce.
- Provide customer feedback to marketing, leadership, and sales teams to improve lead generation strategies and sales processes.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop content and resources for effective lead nurturing.
- Continuously update and refine outreach scripts and email templates based on customer interactions and feedback.
Personal Growth
- Learn and maintain product knowledge, technology, and industry trends.
- Participate in Rehrig’s development plan to grow skills toward becoming a Territory Sales Manager.
- Engage in ongoing training and development programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to network and stay informed about market developments.
- Seek mentorship and coaching opportunities within the company to accelerate career progression.
Additional Responsibilities
- Data Management and Reporting: Generate regular reports on outreach activities, lead conversion rates, and sales pipeline status. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with potential customers through regular follow-ups and personalized communication.
- Collaboration with Sales and Marketing: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to lead generation and qualification.
- Technology Utilization: Stay updated with the latest sales tools and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency. Suggest new tools and technologies that could benefit the SDR team.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends. Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable insights.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce and sales tools such as Gong and Zoominfo is a plus.
- Strong ability to prospect and make cold calls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and results driven.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proactive and strong self-starter, working well independently in a remote environment as well as collaborating with the team.
- Knowledge of our industry and products is a plus.
Other:
-Minimum 25% of time spent traveling by airplane to participate in Trade Shows, Customer Visits and internal Company Gatherings.
