Base pay range

$42,000.00/yr - $50,000.00/yr

Location: Remote (U.S. based preferred)

Compensation: $42,000 – $50,000 base salary + Commission + Performance Bonuses + Growth Path into Sales or Account Management

Pen Pioneer is a fast-growing, veteran-owned staffing and recruiting firm specializing in permanent placement, contract staffing, subscription-based recruiting, and executive search across multiple industries (construction, legal, healthcare, manufacturing, IT, logistics, and more). We’re scaling aggressively and looking to hire multiple SDRs to build the foundation of our outbound sales machine.

Position Summary:

As an SDR, you’ll play a mission-critical role generating outbound opportunities for our sales team. This is a pure top-of-funnel position: identifying prospects, executing cold outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn), booking discovery calls, and feeding a steady pipeline of qualified leads. You’ll be working closely with the Sales Manager, Marketing, and CEO, receiving training, scripts, systems, and support to succeed.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to launch or advance a career in B2B sales with a fast-growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify target companies and decision-makers across assigned territories.
  • Conduct high-volume cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn messaging, and follow-ups.
  • Personalize outreach based on industry, company size, and service needs.
  • Manage outbound prospecting cadences and campaigns.

Lead Qualification & Scheduling

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on service fit and hiring needs.
  • Book meetings for Sales Manager and Senior Sales Team.
  • Maintain clean notes, lead stages, and pipeline data in CRM.
  • Work closely with Sales Manager to review pipeline health and appointment setting goals.
  • Provide feedback on messaging, target lists, and market trends.
  • Consistently hit or exceed daily/weekly KPIs for outreach volume and meetings booked.

Systems & Tools

  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar), Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email automation platforms.
  • Maintain accurate data, lead stages, and activity reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of B2B sales, lead generation, appointment setting, or recruiting experience preferred.
  • Prior staffing/recruiting agency experience is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable making 50–80 outbound calls per day + high-volume email outreach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, coachable, competitive, and self-motivated.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRMs, LinkedIn, email sequencing tools.
  • Veteran status or familiarity with veteran-owned companies is a plus.
  • Commission: Bonus per meeting booked + additional bonuses for closed deals
