Job summary

RGP in Chicago seeks an Inside Sales Representative to drive revenue through lead generation, account research, and targeted outbound outreach.

You will partner with the sales team to expand client relationships, qualify opportunities, support with quotes and CRM updates, and track performance.

Base pay range is $70,000–$90,000 with incentive compensation, reflecting experience and geographic location. This role offers growth opportunities within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through research, lead generation, outbound outreach, call campaigns, and follow-up.
• Schedule qualified client meetings and prepare insights and materials for conversations.
• Manage a high-volume pipeline across phone, email, and campaigns.
• Support outside sales with quotes, order follow-up, CRM updates, and pipeline visibility.
• Build strong relationships with customers and partners to drive repeat business.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during conversations.
• Track activity and data, meeting daily/weekly performance targets.

Job description

The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue growth through lead generation, account research, targeted outreach, client engagement, and sales support. This role partners closely with the sales team to create more client-facing time, strengthen pipeline activity, expand customer relationships, and convert market opportunities into qualified business conversations.

Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation

What you will work on

• Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through account research, lead generation, outbound outreach, call campaigns, and follow-up with existing and prospective customers.
• Schedule qualified client meetings and prepare account insights, background research, and business development materials that support effective sales conversations.
• Manage a high-volume pipeline of inbound and outbound customer interactions across phone, email, web inquiries, and sales campaigns.
• Support outside sales teams and account leaders with quote preparation, order follow-up, CRM updates, campaign tracking, pipeline visibility, and timely customer response.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, internal partners, and sales stakeholders to drive repeat business and improve engagement quality.
• Identify upsell, cross-sell, and new business opportunities during customer conversations and route qualified opportunities appropriately.
• Track activity, maintain accurate customer and opportunity data, and meet daily and weekly performance metrics in a fast-paced sales environment.

What you will bring

• 2-3 years of inside sales, business development, recruiting, sales support, or account management is required.
• Strong communication skills, professional phone presence, and the confidence to engage prospects, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• A competitive, goal-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset with motivation tied to activity, performance, earnings, and career growth.
• Ability to research accounts, identify business insights, manage follow-up, and translate information into actionable sales opportunities.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, data accuracy, and ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Comfort using Salesforce or similar CRM tools, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and sales enablement resources to support outreach, reporting, and account planning.
• Curiosity, adaptability, accountability, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative, team-first approach.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
