Can be located anywhere in one of our 1200+ locations across North America. This position works in conjunction with local branches near you and independently. Sales Development Program - What We Do
  1. Sales Performance: improve time to productivity with automated learning paths and certify on execution and retention
  2. Coaching: provide a structured coaching environment where reps & managers conduct weekly 1:1 coaching
  3. Skills Development: gain confidence to handle any situation with video role plays, simulated sales scenarios, and field ride-a-longs
  4. Micro Learning: distribute bite-sized content with engaging videos, quizzes & challenges
How We Do It
  1. Analytics: provide real-time visibility to achievements, measure capabilities and knowledge gaps
  2. Gamification: engage and motivate teams with leaderboards & badges
  3. Sales Tools: access content through internal & customer-facing programs
  4. Artificial Intelligence: leverage descriptive & predictive intelligence to maximize engagement and proficiency
What You'll Do
  1. Qualify and quantify the needs of our existing customer base using CRM (SalesForce.com) and persuasive selling techniques
  2. Validate and collect primary decision makers' contact information and customer needs for future campaigns
  3. Leverage marketing & sales tools to identify and sell to new customers
  4. Recover declining & dormant customers via sales tools and United Rentals’ value proposition
  5. Support and learn about branch operations
  6. Use United Rentals' IT systems for quotes, rentals, sales, reservations, and territory management
  7. Coordinate with branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate field issues
  8. Work with ISR's to provide solutions regarding equipment needs, training, demonstrations, quotations, catalogs, credit applications
  9. Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and sales following policies
  10. Drive customer engagement at local events/promotions
  11. Perform duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  2. One year experience in a sales-related role preferred
  3. Proven planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  4. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office with at least 1 year of experience
  6. Strong presentation skills and sales orientation
  7. Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  8. Valid driver's license with acceptable record
  9. Willing and able to relocate
