Job summary

Ziegler Companies is looking for an ambitious individual to join the Sales Development Program. As a Sales Development Representative, you will gain hands-on experience, learn from seasoned professionals, and explore multiple product areas across the organization.

The program rotates through Sales, Sales Administration, Parts, Product Support, Marketing, and Technology, with eventual pathways to sales roles in Minneapolis, MN or Des Moines, IA.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2-year) with relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Strong industry background.
• Prior sales experience in construction or agriculture is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
• Strong work ethic and urgency.
• Willingness to operate equipment after training.

Responsibilities

• Learn organizational structure, core business units, and internal workflows.
• Communicate progress and development opportunities with your supervisor.
• Engage with trainers and mentors across departments.
• Build relationships across Sales, Parts, Service, Product Support, Marketing, and Technology.
• Participate in training sessions to learn products, systems, and customer support processes.
• Shadow Sales Representatives and Account Managers during visits, calls, and demonstrations.
• Develop basic product knowledge of Ziegler's equipment lines.
• Enter and maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system.
• Observe and participate in parts, service, and product support activities.
