Job summary

Nordstrom in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Sales Department Manager who leads by example on the sales floor, drives directive selling, and helps the team achieve department goals while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will recruit, train, coach, and develop staff, partner with the department manager on business plans, ensure stellar service, manage inventory and merchandising, and build loyal customer relationships through active selling.

Qualifications

• Track record of achieving results and driving productivity.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence in a commission-based environment.
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
• Experience developing relationships with department/store managers and leaders.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities
