Economy Wholesale Grocers in El Paso, TX is seeking a motivated Customer Service Sales Associate to support our Zaragoza store. You will process orders, assist customers, and coordinate with the sales team to grow national and cross-border business.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries by phone, email, or in person, inputting orders accurately, and maintaining strong relationships. Bilingual candidates who enjoy teamwork and problem solving are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Motivated individual who provides outstanding customer service by responding to customer inquiries regarding products, orders, shipments and deliveries with courtesy and professionalism. Partners with Sales Manager to build national and international customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives sales orders via phone call, email, in person, or fax and accurately inputs orders in the system.
• Maintains close contact with customers to give updates on progress toward order completion. Confirms orders and notifies customer once order is ready for pick up.
• Provides outstanding customer service and ensures customer satisfaction by addressing customer questions, concerns, and issues with a solution-based spirit.
• Provides customers information about products or services.
• Becomes knowledgeable in the registration process of customers.
• Becomes knowledgeable of export orders and all the steps required to complete the process.
• Offers new services or products to customers via phone call, visiting their locations, and/or email.
• Willing to make calls to new and existing customers to offer new products or services.
• Collaborates with customers and purchasing department to assess product needs.
• Refers unresolved customer issues to designated departments and/or Sales Manager for further investigation.
• Maintains confidentiality and high ethical and professional standards.
• Willing to assist in other sales departments such as at Zaragoza if ever needed.
• Assists other departments as needed.
• Assists as backup cashiers whenever needed and requested by store management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualification:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years related work experience in sales/customer service industry.
• Proficient in MS Office computer applications, including Word and Excel.
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent organization and written/oral communication skills.
• Bilingual.
• Highly detailed oriented and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Occasionally required to climb ladders, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel.
• Frequently required to talk or hear.
• Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
• Continually required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme cold temperatures ranging from -10˚ to 40˚.
• Continually work near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally work in high, precarious places.
• Performs other related physical duties as assigned by management.
