Economy Cash & Carry Inc. is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator for the Zaragoza Store in El Paso, TX. This full-time Graveyard shift role focuses on picking, packing, and shipping, safely moving merchandise, and ensuring accurate inventory handling.

You will operate a stand-up forklift up to 3500 lbs, complete quality checks, maintain a clean dock, and support cross-functional teams while upholding safety standards and excellent service for local and cross-border customers.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• High School graduate or GED.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Willingness to work changing priorities and schedules.
• Acute attention to detail and high scanning accuracy.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports incoming and outgoing merchandise using forklift/equipment.
• Performs quality inspections on inbound/outbound merchandise.
• Sorts and places merchandise on racks, shelves or bins.
• Replenishes merchandise from reserves as needed.
• Accurately picks and packs customer orders.
• Removes damaged merchandise, maintains proper rotation.
• Maintains safe, clean dock and aisles; follows PPE rules.
• Participates in required administrative tasks and reports.
• Assists customers and provides excellent service.

Our market knowledge, cross-border partnerships, export services, and professional bilingual team have helped make Economy Wholesale Grocers the regional leader in wholesale commerce, serving the U.S. and Mexico.**What we are looking for**Motivated individual who provides outstanding customer service by picking, packing, and shipping supplies and merchandise to local and international customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks merchandise.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Under direction of supervisor, safely transports incoming and outgoing merchandise to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to handheld device, forklift, and/or electric pallet jack.* Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing merchandise. Ensure merchandise is recorded correctly.* Safely sorts and places merchandise on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures. Replenishes merchandise from reserves as needed.* Accurately picks and packs customer orders as needed.* Removes damaged merchandise and places it in its designated area.* Maintains proper rotation of merchandise.* Always keep safety a priority, to include pedestrian traffic and forklift operation.* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, examples: Safety Belt, High Visibility Vest).* Maintains a safe, clean working environment, to include maintaining a clean dock and clean aisles.* Participates in quality improvement efforts.* Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.* Assists customers as needed.
