Job summary

Westminster Palms in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Independent Living Sales Counselor to drive occupancy by guiding prospective residents through visits, tours, and housing selections.

You will work with the Director of Sales to review leads, set goals, and develop strategic plans to consistently meet monthly occupancy targets. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or a health-related field and about two years of sales experience, preferably in senior housing.

• Older adult housing sales experience preferred.

• Utilize internal systems to maximize occupancy and meet Sales Excellence Initiative benchmarks.

• Assist prospective residents in selecting, visiting and inspecting housing units.
• Enter new leads and maintain information in ENQUIRE on the day of contact.
• Manage visits/tours of prospective residents to the community.
• Support Sales Director in training backup team members for inbound traffic.
• Hold 10–15 minute lead development/review meetings with the sales team.

We are currently searching for an INDEPENDENT LIVING SALES COUNSELOR to work in our Life Plan Community. The Sales Counselor’s role is to utilize each step of the available systems to maximize results and to reach the sales benchmarks set by the Sales Excellence Initiative program and the budgeted occupancy for the community. The Sales Counselor will work with the Director of Sales to conduct lead reviews, set goals and strategize sales plans to drive traffic on a regular basis. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

Schedule:

• Full-Time

This position is responsible for:

• Utilizing internal and external systems to increase and maintain maximum occupancy. Must meet the requirements set forth by the Sales Excellence Initiative program.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with prospective/current residents in order to understand needs/likes/requirements.
• Assisting prospective residents in selecting, visiting and inspecting housing units (unit types depend on the community).
• Entering new leads, updating and maintaining current information in ENQUIRE. Leads must be interred on the day of the actual contact with the prospective resident. “If it’s not in ENQUIRE, it did not happen!”
• Managing visits and/or tours of prospective residents to your community.
• Supporting the Sales Director in training back up team members to field incoming traffic.
• 10 to 15 minute lead development/review meeting with the sales team

Reporting Responsibilities:

• Complete Month End Conversion Report due to the Sales Director by the 3rd day of the following month

Sales Benchmarks:

• Meet minimum required outbound calls made per day to database
• Inquiry to Visit Ratio- 50% min
• Visit to Deposit Ratio- 20% min
• Deposit to Close Ratio- 15% min

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a health-related field; and two (2) years sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably with seniors. Older adult housing sales experience preferred; CCRC sales experience preferred.
