The Role
We’re looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our nimble and mission-driven team. This role will be key in supporting our Sales team and cross-functional partners by keeping sales operations running smoothly and efficiently. From supporting wholesale accounts to improving internal processes and supporting retail growth, you’ll be the connective tissue that brings sales strategies to life and helps us grow with intention.
This is a dynamic, cross-functional role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, loves creating order out of chaos, and is energized by both detail work and big-picture impact. This role will report to cocokind’s Director of Retail Sales and work closely with our CEO and cross-functional teams. This role can be remote in the US or hybrid if based in San Francisco.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the go-to for all things sales support, ensuring our team stays organized, informed, and ahead of schedule. You’ll focus on a mix of administrative, operational, and customer-facing responsibilities, including:
- Prepare and maintain wholesale customer paperwork and vendor forms.
- Own new item forms, new customer/item setups, and ensure timely compliance submissions (e.g., ingredient documentation).
- Organize and distribute image and content assets for retail partners.
- Coordinate sample distribution to both the sales team and retail partners.
- Track and file deductions; support resolution in partnership with Ops and Finance.
- Manage item spec documentation, ensuring all data is accurately entered and consistently maintained across internal spec sheets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management
- Maintain and improve the retail deadline calendar, ensuring key milestones are met.
- Partner with Product Development, Ops, and Marketing to collect and share relevant materials (e.g., new item info, marketing insights, product data).
- Assist in building tools and systems to enhance team productivity and decision-making.
- Support the creation of compelling sales presentations and reporting dashboards.
Retail Account Management & Customer Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for our independent retail customer channel
- Respond to retailer inquiries, vet new accounts, and manage customer access to ensure compliance.
- Develop familiarity with retailer portals and coordinate closely with Ops to ensure POs are delivered on time.
- Develop fluency with our internal forecasting tool, including how it informs demand planning and purchase order creation across teams.
Tradeshow & Event Support
- Help coordinate tradeshow logistics, including shipping, sample prep, booth materials, and on-the-ground support.
- Represent cocokind at industry trade shows as needed to deepen relationships and stay informed on the evolving retail landscape.
Who You Are
- You bring 2+ years of experience in sales operations, account coordination, or administrative support in a CPG or retail environment, ideally partnering with Target or Ulta.
- You’re an organized, self-directed teammate who thrives on bringing structure to fast-moving workstreams and has a natural eye for detail.
- You’re a strong communicator who’s comfortable asking questions, following up, and proactively keeping others in the loop, even when working independently.
- You’re energized by supporting others and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
- You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and communicating across departments with clarity and professionalism.
- You value structure, follow-through, and high-quality execution, and you’re not afraid to bring clarity to ambiguity.
