Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst for Commercial Modelling & Governance Automation in Chicago. You will automate complex compensation rules, build scalable data models, and drive governance across the compensation lifecycle.

Candidates should bring 5+ years in sales compensation analytics, advanced SQL, and strong Python/Alteryx experience. Expect collaboration with Revenue Ops, Legal, and Finance, plus a competitive US salary and benefits.

Qualifications

5+ years in sales compensation analytics or financial modelling.
Advanced SQL proficiency for data modelling, validation and complex multi-table reconciliation.
Hands-on experience using Python/Pandas or Alteryx to build automated workflows.
Power BI development with complex DAX measures and Power Query M transformations.
Experience designing audit-ready SOX controls and end-to-end calculation traceability.

Responsibilities

Translate complex deal structures into algorithmic logic for the compensation engine.
Model financial impact of plan changes using Python and SQL scenario analyses.
Build automated reconciliation engines across revenues, CRM bookings, and commissions.
Maintain governance frameworks with origin, justification and approval trails; support SOX documentation.
Develop enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards for leadership with insights.
