Unum is seeking rising seniors for a 10-week paid internship in Texas to explore a career in sales and client management. You will work on real projects, with guidance from mentors, and present to leaders at the end of summer.

The program offers hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of a Unum case and opportunities to develop professional skills. During the internship you will engage in Prospecting and Quoting, Selling, Enrollment, Onboarding, and Relationship Management, while gaining college

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program.
• Preference given to rising seniors and first year graduate students.
• Competitive GPA.
• Demonstrates leadership involvement in extracurricular activities.
• Genuine interest in sales and client management and insurance industry.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel software applications.
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed on project work.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Intern must be available to work approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the full lifecycle of a Unum case and learn through mentoring and shadowing.
• Attend resume writing and interview-prep support sessions.
• Participate in skill development workshops and targeted job shadows.
• Capstone presentation analyzing an assigned business case.
• Learn about Field and Home Office departmental and corporate functions.
• Attend weekly information sessions and networking opportunities with your intern cohort.
