Job summary

Unum is seeking rising seniors for a 10-week paid internship in sales and client management in a professional office setting. You will be immersed in our culture and gain hands-on project experience that culminates in an end-of-summer presentation to business leaders.

You will work independently and with teams, guided by mentors. The program includes resume help, skill workshops, and targeted job shadows to build a foundation in insurance industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program.
• Preference given to rising seniors and first year graduate students.
• Competitive GPA and demonstrated leadership and involvement in activities.
• Demonstrates genuine interest in sales and client management and willingness to learn about insurance.

Responsibilities

• Work for Unum in a professional office setting and contribute to internship projects.
• Follow weekly focus areas covering the lifecycle of a Unum case.
• Receive mentorship and sponsorship to support your internship.
• Participate in resume writing and interview-prep support and skill workshops.
• Attend capstone presentation and learn about field and home office functions.
