Job summary

Gemaire Distributors in Texarkana, TX is seeking a Sales Center Manager to lead sales center operations for our HVAC wholesale distributorship, driving sales, customer experience, productivity and profitability through effective team leadership.

The role requires 2–4 years of retail or wholesale operations experience, proven leadership and coaching, data-driven decision making, strong relationship building, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of operational experience with retail or wholesale industry.
• Proven leadership, coaching/mentoring and team oriented mindset along with effective delegation of duties.
• Demonstrated ability to grow sales in a retail environment.
• Experience analyzing and using customer, market or competitor data to make informed decisions.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and employees.
• Experience leading a team of employees towards achieving company goals.
• Computer literacy with proficiency with MS office applications.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task on different levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales center operations and drive sales, customer experience, productivity and profitability through effective team leadership.
• Supervise workforce including Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, Delivery, Fleet Drivers, Showroom and Sales personnel.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop associates in compliance with labor laws and company policy.
• Monitor inventory stock levels and merchandising of showroom.
• Analyze business trends with local sales personnel and regional leadership to develop strategies for increased store traffic.
• Promote safety awareness ensuring associates are employing safe practices at all times.
• Effectively manage the branch P&L and accountability for performance.
• Coordinate sales center training and company events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Monitor inventory stock levels and merchandising of showroom.
• Manage inventory to ensure minimal loss throughout the year.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop new associates in compliance with labor laws and company policy.
• Manage workforce including Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, Delivery, Fleet Drivers, Showroom, Counter Sales and Sales personnel.

• Promote safety awareness ensuring associates are employing safe practices at all times.
• Effectively manage the branch P&L.
• Holds self and others accountable for delivering exceptional customer experience while addressing customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
• Analyze and measure business trends, while working with local sales personnel and regional leadership to develop strategies for increased store traffic.
• Conduct him/herself in a professional and courteous manner in all aspects of interaction with contractors, customers, vendors and employees.
• Coordinate sales center training and company/center events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of operational experience with retail or wholesale industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with contractors.
• Prior leadership roles with P&L responsibility.
• Proven success in sales, operations, purchasing, and warehouse/inventory management.
• Mechanical or technical background.
