Job Overview

The Sales and Business Development Manager, Wholesale is an accomplished, tenured, and dynamic Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the wireless telecommunications industry. This role requires a strategic thinker and an exceptional communicator who can identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in a rapidly evolving market. You will manage new growth opportunities from inception to full execution, interacting with multiple internal and external stakeholders to bring the highest value to our company. You will serve as the external face of T-Mobile to prospect high-value wholesale constructs, owning the full sales cycle from outreach to contract execution. Your focus will be on being highly strategic, tactically oriented, and executing projects that engage new partners, shorten sales cycles, and maximize revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and drive the complete sales cycle of new WLS partnerships: structure complex strategic WLS partnerships, develop key economic, business, and operational models, negotiate win-win commercial terms, and drive detailed contracts with support from the Legal team.
  2. Establish repeatable processes to prioritize and close new opportunities.
  3. Identify new wholesale opportunities, build and manage sales funnel, close deals, and meet or exceed sales objectives.
  4. Perform other duties/projects as assigned by leadership or business management as needed.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED in Engineering, Business & Economics (Required)
  • Master's in Business Administration (Preferred)
  • Over 5 years of progressive experience in business development within wireless telecommunications.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strategic sales and business development experience in wholesale wireless, high-tech, or consumer electronics industries, or with wireless OEMs (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (Required)
  • Experience negotiating complex contracts, RFPs, RFIs, co-marketing agreements, and collaboration documentation (Required)
  • Strong analytical skills, financial modeling, and market data interpretation (Required)
  • Experience leading business case modeling for deals over $100M/year (Required)
  • Results-driven strategic thinker capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment (Required)
  • Technical understanding of wireless and internet technologies, telecom networks, OSS/BSS (Required)
  • Broad business acumen in wireless business models (Required)
  • Excellent communication skills, including C-level interaction and negotiation (Required)
  • Public speaking and presentation skills (Required)
  • Experience in management consulting in mobile telecommunications (Preferred)
  • Experience managing large external partner portfolios with P&L responsibility for $500M/year (Required)
  • Ability to manage contractual processes leveraging internal/external counsel (Required)
  • Leadership in complex matrix environments (Required)
Certifications
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA/CCIE) or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Travel required: Yes
  • Position is not DOT regulated or safety-sensitive
Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range is $100,400 - $181,200, with a 15% bonus target. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Employees are eligible for annual bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, tuition assistance, and more.
