Goodwill NCW is seeking a service-oriented team member for a cashier/retail associate role in Wisconsin. You will scan items, process payments, and educate customers about Round Up and Good Points programs, while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Scan tickets and process payments while following cash handling standards.
  • Educate customers on Round Up program to meet goals.
  • Inform customers about Good Points program to meet goals.
  • Operate telephone and paging system.
  • Ensure items are properly displayed, pulled, and restocked per merchandising standards and leadership guidance.
  • Assist customers in locating items or seek assistance if unable to help.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; complete opening/closing checklists and assist with general cleaning including parking lot maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Ensurescustomer satisfaction by efficiently and accurately scanning ticketsandprocessing paymentwhile following cash handling standards.

Educatescustomers onRound Upprogramto achieveprogramgoals.

Informscustomers onGoodPointsprogram to achieveprogramgoals.

Operatestelephoneincluding professionally answering calls andoperatingthe paging system.

Ensuresitems are properly displayed, pulled, and restocked in alignment with merchandising standards and leadership guidance.

Assistscustomers inlocatingitems when possible orseeksassistancefor the customer if unable to help.

Maintains aclean, safe, and organizedwork area; completes opening/closing checklists and supports general cleaning, including parking lotmaintenance.

Qualifications
WhatWe NeedFromYou:

Excellent time management and prioritization skillsandthe ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.

Excellent communication, customerserviceand attention to detail.

Ability tooperatea cash register and accurately count money.

Basic math skillsrequired.

Experience with computers ora willingnessand ability to learn.

Reliable transportation andability toworka flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with regular andtimelyattendancein accordance withthe assigned work schedule.

Work is performed primarily in a standard retail backroom or warehouse environment with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.

Primary function requires sufficient physical ability to repetitively:

Stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Independently twist,lift, carry,pushorpull moderate (10pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight; using a team liftfor objects weighing over 25 pounds.

Reach (approximately 54inches).

Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch.

Sufficienthand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.

Verbally communicate to exchange information.
