Goodwill Industries is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Sales Team Member to be the face of our store. You will handle checkout, answer questions, restock merchandise, and maintain a neat, welcoming floor.

We value clear communication, basic math, and dependable service. This role requires standing for long periods, occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, and a professional appearance as you help customers find what they need and process transactions accurately.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and GGW associates.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
• Ability to settle customer complaints.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift).
• Bend and lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet.

Responsabilités

• Provides professional and courteous service to all customers inside the store, outside of the store, and on the phone.
• Assures merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely manner
• Able to ensure items are rung accurately on the register
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling skill to include but is not limited to making change, operate and maintain the cash register, check and charge card machine, and use of a calculator
• Maintains knowledge of merchandise and answers customer’s questions courteously and promptly
• Keeps floor merchandise neat and orderly (racks, shelves, bins, and hangers) and assists customers with purchase selections.
• Maintains clean professional appearance
• Maintain an orderly and clean register area
• Maintain familiarity with store security procedures and exercise security practices when necessary
• Perform general housekeeping responsibilities to include: store upkeep duties as needed to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, and dusting (including restrooms and dressing rooms)
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of six months of previous work experience
• 2. High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3. Previous experience working in a retail environment
• 4. Excellent customer service related skills
• 5. Working knowledge of a cash register
• 6. Multilingual with complete fluency in English
