Job summary

Slumberland Thief River Falls is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to help customers find the right furniture solutions. This Part Time position works 16-24 hours weekly, typically 2-3 days per week and reports to the Store Manager.

You’ll gain exposure to showroom setup, merchandising, promotions, and customer service while earning $15-$22 per hour plus a commission-based draw. Part-time benefits include eligibility for our 401(k) plan and employee purchase discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Mathematical skills to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages.
• Previous sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Training and structure provided for entry-level candidates.
• Flexible scheduling with weekends and peak holidays.

Our Slumberland store in Thief River Falls, MN is currently hiring a Part Time Sales Associate to help our customers find their dream furniture solutions. This position reports directly to the Store Manager. She is ready to add the next addition to our team. Is that you?!

The Role of the Sales Associate:

Being a Sales Associate in the furniture retail industry can vary day-to-day as each customer brings different needs, desires, and their own unique style. This allows you to showcase your top sales skills as you work to meet these various needs! You may assist with the display of the show room floor through set-up, visual appeal, and tagging merchandise. Ensuring store neatness and cleanliness is directly in line with providing superior customer service and helps showcase the products we have for sale! You should maintain awareness of product information, and ongoing merchandise promotions and advertisements. We work to be as flexible as possible with scheduling, but there are some weekends and peak sales holidays we ask our employees be ready to work!

This position will be scheduled 16-24 hours weekly. Position will be scheduled 2-3 days per week. Likely to be Monday, Wednesday, and every other Saturday. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.

What We Offer:

We offer commission-based compensation and a draw. Employees ready and eager to sell can reap the benefits of these non-capped commissions offered, with an estimated wage range between $15 - $22 hourly.
