Job summary

Lucky Scent | Scent Bar is seeking a passionate Sales Associate to join our boutique retail team in New York. This part-time position focuses on delivering an exceptional in-store discovery experience while educating customers about our niche fragrances, candles, and skincare.

The ideal candidate is personable, enthusiastic, and eager to build lasting relationships with customers. You will handle customer interactions, process transactions, restock displays, and contribute to thoughtful product

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and enthusiastic about helping customers discover products.
• Knowledge of fragrance, candles, home fragrances, and skincare products preferred.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and create a warm, engaging environment.
• Provide a friendly discovery experience and educate customers about niche brands.
• Make thoughtful product recommendations based on customer preferences and interests.
• Maintain knowledge of fragrance, candle, home fragrance, and skincare collections.
• Recommend complementary products to enhance customer experience and increase product awareness.
• Build and cultivate positive, long-term relationships with customers.
• Maintain a professional, sincere, and enthusiastic attitude that reflects the store’s commitment to exceptional service.
• Answer customer phone calls and assist with product inquiries.
• Process customer transactions, including credit cards, Apple Pay, and cash.
• Participate in store opening and closing procedures.
• Restock merchandise and maintain proper product displays.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Stay up to date on fragrance industry trends, brands, and product knowledge.
• Be available to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Prepare and send a daily sales report to senior management including sales performance, store traffic, and customer requests.
• Receive and process stock transfers and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory and adjust as needed.
• Assist with general store maintenance and facilities.
• Provide feedback to management on store operations, policies, and procedures.
• Support stock transfer requests with the Los Angeles location.
• Assist with influencer visits and press appointments.
