Job summary

Dauphinette is seeking a part-time Sales Associate for our West Village store in New York City. The role requires regular weekday and weekend availability, with 2–3 full days per week.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Founder, engaging customers, handling transactions, and maintaining inventory in a fast-paced luxury retail environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, motivated to grow the Dauphinette brand, and comfortable working in Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably in luxury clothing sales.
• Ability to engage customers and create a welcoming environment.
• Extremely organized and able to maintain a clean, presentable store.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Physically able to carry inventory 25 lbs+ and handle shelf replenishment.
• Desire to develop and grow the Dauphinette brand.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Operations Manager and Founder, primarily at the flagship store.
• Liaise with customers, operate the cash register, and keep in-store inventory organized.
• Maintain detailed inventory tracking and monitor foot traffic and sales.
• Keep the retail floor tidy and aligned with brand standards at all times.
• Provide real-time feedback and weekly sales reports to leadership.
• Additional weekend/holiday availability as needed.

Skills and qualifications

• Previous retail experience required, preferably in luxury clothing sales
• Ability to engage customers & establish a welcoming environment

Extremely organized - good at tidying and maintaining a clean and presentable environment

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to carry inventory 25 lbs+
• A strong, genuine desire to develop and grow the Dauphinette brand

Familiarity with Shopify POS mandatory

• Fluency in multiple languages a plus

Key Responsibilities

• You will report directly to the Operations Manager and to the Founder, primarily working in our flagship store, liaising with customers, working the cash register, and keeping in-store inventory organized.

Keeping a detailed and accurate tracking of inventory

• Tracking foot traffic and sales
• Maintaining a presentable and attractive retail floor that is both tidy and adhering to brand specifications at all times
  
• Providing direct, real-time feedback as requested, and weekly sales/feedback reports to the Founder
• Additional availability on select weekends and during holiday periods.
• New York based only.You must be able to commute in Manhattan.
