Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area is seeking a Sales Associate to assist customers, unload trucks, and maintain departments. You will restock displays and support day-to-day store operations with a friendly, proactive approach.

We value reliable team members with retail experience and strong communication. Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred, and availability includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of retail experience; hardware experience preferred.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• Availability flexible including evenings, weekends and holidays; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
• Maintain assigned department: keep it clean, organized and stocked.
• Execute daily store priorities with a positive, proactive approach.
• Remove promotional bins/price tags as required and restock displays.
• Watch for shoplifters and follow Elder's policy to discourage theft.
• Respond to radio requests and support other duties as assigned.

Description

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).
• Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your "Ace Pace".
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder's policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
