Job summary

Hershey Lodge, part of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, is hiring a Part-Time Sales Associate for the Sweet Memories gift shop. You will provide friendly guest service, enter sales into the POS, answer inquiries, and maintain store appearance while learning basic retail operations.

This role offers a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Perks include free admission and parking to Hersheypark, plus discounts on food and shopping once you wear your Employee ID.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older on the date of applying.
• One year of retail/customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line team member.
• Provide exceptional guest service within your assigned store location, including entering sales into POS system for a positive checkout experience.
• Answer guest inquiries, in person and over the phone in a timely manner.
• Exhibit thorough product knowledge and upselling techniques to guests.
• Maintain store appearance standards to ensure the store is stocked and assist in other inventory management tasks as needed.
• Resolve immediate guest concerns, partnering with lead staff when needed to prevent recurring guest service issues.
• Identify safety and maintenance related issues and relay these concerns to store leadership to ensure they are addressed.
• Follow all cash handling procedures in accordance with Resort Revenue Group SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Develop valuable skills in customer service and retail operations. Sales Associates are given opportunities to learn about basic aspects of retail operations including merchandising, guest service skills, and store inventory. This position is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and courteous service in Sweet Memories gift shop at the Hershey Lodge to achieve the department’s goals for the year.

Job Demands:

• This position is available year round and requires a high level of independence.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

• Physical requirements include standing (75-100% of the shift), sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 35 lbs with assistance, finger dexterity and communicating effectively
