Job summary

Personalization Mall in Columbus, OH is seeking a store associate to greet customers, showcase our products, and guide shoppers through the buying process. You will ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, provide accurate product information, and help customers complete purchases both in person and over the phone.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional service, supporting gift and large order purchases, and occasionally leading the store during manager absence.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable being in and running the store solo on occasion

• Greeting & interacting with customers
• Showcasing products and teaching visitors how to shop by leading them through the buying process
• Asking open-ended questions to learn customer needs

• Going above and beyond service expectations
• Helping customers add to gifts or take-home purchases with suggestive selling
• Thanking customers for purchases
• Taking orders in person and over the phone, including Large Client Orders
• Leading the team in the absence of managers, running shifts and preparing for next shift
• Cash handling, counting down and balancing cash drawers at opening/closing

Position Responsibilities-

• Greeting & interacting with all types of customers
• Showcasing our amazing products & teaching our visitors how to shop our store by leading them through the buying process
• Asking open-ended questions while conversing with the customers so you can learn what their needs are
• Making the shopping experience memorable by providing correct, helpful, and instant knowledge of our product
• Going above and beyond the service expectations of the customers during every interaction
• Helping the customers add to their gifts or take-home purchases by using suggestive selling techniques
• Thanking the customer for their purchase no matter how small
• Taking orders correctly & completely in person & over the phone, including Large Client Orders.
• Leading your team in the absence of managers which includes: running the shift, delegating duties, & preparing the store for the next shift.
• Cash handling, counting down, and balancing the cash drawers at close &/or open. Taking care of customer issues and troubleshooting issues on the spot.
