Job summary

The UPS Store is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to join our team. You will be the face of the store, helping customers with shipping, printing, packaging, and business solutions while driving sales and delivering exceptional service.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and sales skills, physical stamina to lift packages, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Training is provided in our franchise network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
• Strong sales skills with a positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Process shipping transactions
• Offer packaging solutions and professionally pack customer items when needed
• Sell printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and finishing services
• Provide additional services including notary, mailbox rental, and business support
• Educate customers on services and recommend solutions that best meet their needs
• Ring up sales accurately using the POS system and handle cash, credit, and other payment methods
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment
• Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
• Track and manage inventory of shipping supplies, office products, and print materials
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the store throughout the shift.
• Capable of lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50-75 lbs (boxes, packages, print materials).
• Manual dexterity for operating print equipment, computers, and packaging tools.
