Job summary

ProSource Wholesale in Springfield, MO is hiring a Sales Assistant (Account Manager in Training) to learn the Account Manager role through hands-on coaching and regular collaboration with the Sales Manager.

You will build relationships with contractors and designers, support member follow-up, and help identify customer needs to suggest product solutions, with a schedule that supports real work-life balance. This fast-paced showroom position does not require nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer service or showroom experience is a plus.
• Comfort with basic math, payments and pricing.
• Comfort using computers, phones, and everyday tech.
• Interest in design or building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Account Manager role through hands-on training and coaching.
• Build relationships with contractors, designers, builders, and other trade professionals.
• Assist with member follow-up and ongoing account communication.
• Learn how to identify customer needs and recommend product solutions.
• Help develop new business through outbound calls, prospect follow-up, and member outreach.
• Support existing accounts while gradually taking on greater account responsibility.
• Learn ProSource products, services, pricing, and membership benefits.
• Track customer and prospect activity and maintain accurate account information.
• Work directly with the Sales Manager to develop the skills needed to transition into an Account Manager role.
