Position Summary:VisitNorfolk is looking for a proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide principal support to assigned Sales Managers.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs general secretarial functions and assists Sales Manager(s) in day-to-day operations of the department.
- Handles daily correspondence, meeting planning and travel arrangements for Manager(s). Prioritizes and distributes all incoming correspondence, faxes and general mail for Manager(s).
- Monitors all aspects of the department budget, including preparation of invoices, check requests and purchase orders, verification of expenditures against line items, adjusting of accounts and updating Manager(s) on a monthly basis.
- Maintains VisitNorfolk Sales Department merchandise including, estimates, orders, inventory and requests.
- Maintains organized file system (paper and electronic) for department, including accounting records.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge and functionality in use of office computer software including Excel and Word; Ability to create reports, graphs, etc.; Ability to quickly learn industry related computer software such as Canva, Adobe, and Simpleview.
- Ability to work with managers long distance via email and phone on a regular basis.
- Work requires high degree of accuracy, good judgment, excellent oral, proofreading, written communication skills and strong attention to details.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task; Ability to meet deadlines; Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually
