Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Sales Arborist Representative to join our outdoor sales team. Your office is the field, visiting residential and commercial clients to educate them on tree needs, prepare estimates, and build annual health care programs.

You'll manage crews under the District Manager and participate in a strong commission-based compensation plan with uncapped earning potential, paid time off, 401(k) and comprehensive benefits across the U.S.

Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist is required
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge is required
• Experience with tree care and hazard tree evaluation is preferred

Responsibilities

• Make house calls as a tree doctor
• Educate customers on tree needs and care
• Provide customers with estimates
• Develop and update plant health care programs
• Build relationships with new and existing clients
• Set up and supervise crew members on customer jobs
• Assist District Manager in directing the team

What You'll Do

• Work as a tree doctor that makes house calls!
• Educate residential and commercial customers on the needs of their trees.
• Provide customers with estimates based on their needs.
• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.
• Create and build relationship with new and existing clients.
• Set up and supervise crew members assigned to customer jobs.
• As part of the office and field management team, the Sales Representative assists the District Manager in the direction of whole team.

What We're Looking For

• Love of the outdoors
• ISA Certified Arborist
• Required: Valid driver’s license
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced with tree care, hazard tree evaluation, integrated pest management and industry approved tree care practices
• Preferred: 3-5 years experience
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
