Job summary

Broetje Automation is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer in the South-east USA, with remote work and up to 100% travel, and must be near an international airport. You will lead North American sales and support the BA-US team, sourcing aerospace customers and becoming technically proficient in automated drilling, fastening equipment, and composites manufacturing.

Essentials include a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering; 7+ years in a customer-facing role

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering.
• 7+ years in a customer-facing role; aerospace experience preferred.
• Familiarity with automated drilling/fastening equipment or composites manufacturing is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and hold an active US passport.

Responsibilities

• Lead North American sales for Broetje Automation in the region.
• Develop relationships with key decision makers and source leads.
• Become technically proficient in product offerings (automation and composites).
• Prepare and present sales proposals and respond to customer needs.
• Coordinate with customers through the full sales process and visits.

Summary:

The Sales Applications Engineer will report directly to the CEO, leading North American sales and supporting the BA-US sales team. In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing new customers for the aerospace manufacturing market.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (i.e., mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering)


• 7+ years working in customer facing role – ideal candidate will have work experience in Aerospace industry


• Related experience may include work in one or more of the following areas:




• Automated systems such as machine tools, robotic cells or assembly fixtures, jigs, tools


• Manufacturing applications with thermoset or thermoplastic composite materials


• Factory assembly or machine manufacturing

Qualifications:

• Personable and outgoing; comfortable speaking in front of groups of people


• Strong sales ability, business acumen, and commercial awareness


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills


• Experience creating and presenting sales proposals


• Candidate must be willing to travel up to 100% and have an active US passport

Job responsibilities:

• Act as forward-facing sales personnel to achieve North American sales targets


• Become technically proficient in current and future product offerings (i.e., automated drilling and fastening equipment, composites manufacturing, etc.)


• Source leads, identify and develop relationships with decision makers


• Qualify potential customers for genuine need and ability to purchase proposed solutions


• Work with customers throughout entirety of sales process


• Lead in development of sales proposals


• Travel to customer sites as needed for sales and proposal meetings and to ensure we are providing world class customer service


• Research and identify potential future markets for existing and new Broetje products


• Identify possible derivative products and solutions to help expand our current offerings
