Job summary

Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. in Lincoln, CA is seeking a Sales Engineer I to evaluate project feasibility, apply engineering judgment, and manage projects from concept through production. You will serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4-year equivalent required.
• 2–3 years in a technical role with CAD/PLM experience.
• Knowledge of valves and pressurized systems.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and specifications to select valve components.
• Develop, deliver, and follow up on accurate quotes throughout the process.
• Communicate customer inputs to internal teams to ensure delivery.
• Provide updates on project status to customers.
• Offer technical support to diagnose and fix fluid component issues.
• Travel to customer facilities and trade shows for demonstrations and meetings.

Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.

About the role

PFC is in search for a Sales Engineer I. In this role, you will evaluate project feasibility, apply sound engineering judgment, manage projects from concept through production, and act as the key technical liaison between customers and internal teams.

This role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA offices and will report directly to the Sales and Application Engineering Supervisor.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What You’ll Do

• Review customer requirements, project specifications, and application information to determine the best valve component for the project.
• Develop, deliver and follow up on accurate customer quotes throughout the quoting and fulfillment process.
• Effectively communicate all customer input and/or specifications to internal teams to ensure project deliverables meet customer expectation.
• Provide timely updates to customers on project status to promote visibility and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Give technical support to customers in diagnosing and correcting fluid component issues
• Travel to customer facilities and trade shows for product demonstrations, meetings and advertising

What You’ll Need

• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 2-3 years working experience in a technical role
• Relevant CAD, PLM, and technical drawing experience
• Knowledge of valves and pressurized systems
• Ability to develop and deliver solutions based on an understanding of the technical and business challenges of our market.
• Team player mentality and ability to work closely with other employees

Nice to Have

• Manufacturing and/or Environmental Testing experience
