Job summary

The Hertz Corporation is seeking a Sales and Service Specialist to support Lyft and Uber rental car programs in Riverside, CA. You will help customers create reservations, process rentals, and ensure vehicles are clean and ready for pickup, while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

You will also handle post-rental inquiries, assist with billing questions, and communicate program procedures to customers, aiming to maximize revenue and provide a standout rental experience.

• Ensure optimal operational efficacies to provide customers with the best rental car experience


• Provide assistance creating a rental car reservation, processing rentals and providing clean and safe vehicles to our customers.


• Assist customers with various post rental inquiries that involve the rental and billing process


• Work in a fast-paced environment, while providing helpful customer service that enhances the customer’s rental experience.


• Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental car extensions, roadside assistance questions and more.


• Effectively communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and Procedures.


• Maximize revenue opportunities with customers by actively soliciting business after customer inquiry by overcoming customer objections.


• Ensure vehicles are prepared for customer pick-up, including checking vehicles for damage, cleaning interior (windows, door jams, trunk, vacuum, etc.) and exterior (wash) of vehicle, filling gasoline tanks and checking fill levels of all fluids.

Sales and Service Specialist, TNC, is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team. As a brand ambassador, the Sales and Service Specialist will be facilitating the fastest, easiest, and most valued rental car experience to Lyft and/or Uber drivers.

What You’ll Get

• The hourly rate / wage for this role is $18.50


• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime)


• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay)


• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 40 hours


• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays)

Professional Experience
