Job Summary

The Sales and Service Associate handles routine financial transactions, provides solutions tailored to customer needs, and resolves issues with accounts. This role involves engaging with new and existing customers, helping them understand products and services. The primary contact for new account openings, account maintenance, and problem resolution, the associate promotes bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary contact for new accounts, maintenance, and problem resolution.
  • Receive deposits, verify amounts, examine checks, and record transactions.
  • Cash checks, process withdrawals, and verify signatures and balances.
  • Process payments for loans and other financial transactions.
  • Manage night depository bags and record information accurately.
  • Maintain security of cash and negotiable items, balance cash drawer, and report discrepancies.
  • Promote and offer solutions for retail banking products and services.
  • Make referrals for additional financial products and services.
  • Participate in sales, service, and product training meetings.
Education and Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of public contact or sales experience.
  • Proficient in PC and technology skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized with basic math skills for account activities.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and products.
  • Successful completion of in-house training within one year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the financial industry.
