Position Description: Careers That Change Lives

Build a foundation in Device Sales by providing Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) service and support through this training opportunity.

CRM seeks candidates committed to reliability and quality, accountability, voicing opinions, and taking action.

Program Overview

The Sales Training Excellence Program (STEP) is a paid 2-3 year training program focusing on Cardiac Rhythm Management device sales, structured as follows:

  1. Year One: Focus on training and clinical skills, understanding products and applications.
  2. Year Two: Focus on sales skills specific to Cardiac Rhythm Management.
  3. Year Three: Continue patient case management and begin applying for sales territories across the U.S.

Participants must be willing to relocate for training and potentially for roles afterward. Open territories are not guaranteed.

Position Responsibilities
Technical Support
  • Complete clinical/technical training.
  • Represent Medtronic during surgeries and implants, providing troubleshooting and technical assistance.
  • Support device reprogramming, follow-ups, and troubleshooting in hospitals and clinics.
  • Provide on-call support as needed for surgeries, device reprogramming, troubleshooting, and follow-up.
Educational Support
  • Educate healthcare professionals on technical matters related to our products and therapies.
  • Provide training resources for healthcare professionals to train their teams.
Sales Support
  • Complete sales training process.
  • Document cases and communicate with sales representatives.
  • Notify representatives of issues requiring follow-up.
  • Represent Medtronic to physicians and support staff.
  • Manage inventories and support product rotation and delivery.
  • Promote Carelink enrollments during implants.
  • Request purchase orders post-implant.
  • Conduct regular calls to hospitals or clinics.
  • Maintain knowledge of therapies, products, and competitors.
  • Communicate effectively with all personnel and customers.
  • Handle sales responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 0-3 years of sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • B.A./B.S. in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, engineering, or technical field.
  • Experience in technical fields, engineering, healthcare, or sales.
  • Proven track record in technical or sales roles.
  • Ability to work with diverse customers.
Physical Requirements

Must meet the physical demands described, with accommodations possible for disabilities. Frequent travel to healthcare facilities is required. Ability to be mobile, transport equipment, and work long hours standing or sitting. Environmental exposures may include infectious disease and radiation. Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license.
